Brrr!

We had a wild snowstorm that dumped a good amount of snow.  And now the temperatures are in the teens.  This helps make our walk a quick one, but there is always a few moments to enjoy the beauty of the season.

May the New Year bring you many good experiences!

Best wishes in 2011!

My friend Nona and her briards

My friend Nona does excellent training in agility with her briards.

When she travels and is unable to take the briards, I dog sit with them.  We have been enjoying the holidays together.

Dressing in the dark

The problem with dressing in the early morning on a dark winter day.  The problem with having the same shoe in different colors.

When some one notice my interesting style, I explained that I has a similar pair at home.
Lights of red, green, white
Twinkling in the evening snow

Winter Solstice

I missed the solar eclipse as our sky was overcast.  Happy Winter Solstice!  I am excited as now the days start getting longer.

Christmas Decorations

Mom created paper bag gingerbread men to decorate the stair rail.

Zackery discovered that they are filled with wrapped candy.

We have had a few warm winter days.  Temperatures have been in the high 40's and the 50's.  Now forecaster's are saying that a storm is expected.

Artful Blogging

I have heard of Somerset Studio's magazine: Artful Blogging.  Last night, I picked it up a bookstore.  Wow!  What a beautiful publication.  And, I hope to visit the blogs that it is featuring.  http://www.stampington.com/artfulblogging/

Travels away from Ogden Canyon

With a friend, I took a couple of days away from the snow  to visit my niece and her husband- - - and had a couple of days of rain.  And yes, on the day we left the sun came out.

On the Monterey pier, we watched jelly fish in the water.  Two large orange and pink jelly fishand a bunch of much small white ones.  Farther out in the bay, two sea otters played.

We visited a roadside market filled with vegetables and fruits.
It was interesting to see autumn leaves along with blooming flowers.  We enjoyed the flowers outside our motel room.
