Dawn Song

It is 5am the sky has changed from dark to blue gray.  The birds have begun their warm up chirps in anticipation of the morning dawn song.  An aria to be enjoyed this and other mornings throughout Spring and Summer.

Mourning Song

Oh, the trills and chirps of the avian mourning song have returned.  I heard the first notes on Saturday mourning, a sure sign that Spring has returned.

As twilight deepens, 
A lone bird sings - chirps and trills;
Tonight's evening song.
