Thank you Jane from http://janeville.blogspot.com/ for the inspiration.

Spring Snow

The view outside my window is covered in white ... again.  At least the sun comes out to melt the spring snow.

Spring Wishes

On this first day of Spring, we have had overcast skies that are now dropping rain, and later this evening the possibility of snow.  But I am looking forward to spring blossoms, and the promise of sunny skies.

Here is hoping that your first day of Spring is filled with the promises of the season to come.

In today' gray skies
I search for inspiration
and find . . . a little.

Near my home a ravine of snow drops blooms each Spring

A patch of snow drops
blooms in a wooded ravine
in the melting snow.

Green petticoats peek
from under white petal skirts
as spring snow drops dance.

Snowdrops in bloom

After just three warm days, the snowdrops green heads have poked out from the edge of the snow and have bloomed.  Lovely white bell flowers edged in green with three oval white sepals dangle and dance from stem tops.

In the city, bright yellow crocus add sunshine to neighborhood gardens.

It is March, we are well aware that more snow will fly.  March in Utah brings all varieties of weather, but days like today foretell the arrival of Spring.

Spring Runoff

Muddied waters carve
braided channels of runoff
as winter's snow melts.

Thanks Martha Stewart

I had a fun evening playing with my new butterfly punches and now I have a collection of butterfly confetti ready for more projects.

Spring?

The green tips of bulbs
push through the snow-dusted earth;
joyous signs of spring.

Bath time: Clean Hair & Haiku

Oh! Shampoo bubbles
Floating in my bath water,
Glisten, pink, green, blue.
