Autumn Leaves
I worked on some watercolor leaf pins, as I keep getting compliments on the one that I wear. I have taken them to the Carriage House Gallery at the Eccles Community Art Center.

Night View
Below the city
Lights sparkle like bight jewels
A home on a hill.
And
City lights - jewels
Topaz, ruby, and diamond
Scattered before me.

In preparation for October
I have added my witches and the witch is in sign to my door. I love my mother's pocket witches and isn't the pumpkin painting by Kris Wilson fun!
First Day of Autumn 2010
Yesterday:
Last day of summer
A brilliant double rainbow
Spans the canyon sky.
The path is littered
with green, yellow, orange, red ....
Autumn equinox.
An orange sun ball
Sets behind dark mountains
Paints the evening sky
In shades of blazing color
Orange, coral, lavender.
This morning:
A pale mourning sky,
A western golden full moon
Awaits the sunrise.

Mollie Puts Up with Me, Why?
Can you just see her saying why would you do this to me? I don't know why she puts up with me, especially as I laughed at this look.

Evening Drive
This evening, Mollie and I took a drive around Pineview Dam, in Ogden Valley just a few miles east of Ogden Canyon. We viewed trees splashed in autumn colors, yellow, orange, red, hills burnished in golden grass, as well as stacks of golden hay. We witnessed a heron fly up from the South Fork river, a hawk flying scouting for dinner over a field, and a horned owl landing on a wooden power pole. And then the colors of sunset. I hope you evening was just as lovely ....
We also stopped at the market for tomorrow's milk for breakfast.

Simple Pleasures
Warm from a lavender scented bath. Mollies settled, curled by the side of my bed. Fresh, sun dried sheets. And a new book by a favorite author.

Evening Song
A warm summer night
through an open window - song
symphonic insects.
