A Gift of Roses

I have always preferred orange or lavender roses....

Mollie Puts Up with Me, Why?

Can you just see her saying why would you do this to me?  I don't know why she puts up with me, especially as I laughed at this look.

Evening Drive

This evening, Mollie and I took a drive around Pineview Dam, in Ogden Valley just a few miles east of Ogden Canyon.  We viewed trees splashed in autumn colors, yellow, orange, red, hills burnished in golden grass, as well as stacks of golden hay.  We witnessed a heron fly up from the South Fork river, a hawk flying scouting for dinner over a field, and a horned owl landing on a wooden power pole.  And then the colors of sunset.  I hope you evening was just as lovely ....

We also stopped at the market for tomorrow's milk for breakfast.

Simple Pleasures

Warm from a lavender scented bath.   Mollies settled, curled by the side of my bed.  Fresh, sun dried sheets.  And a new book by a favorite author.

Still Having Fun

After obtaining inspiration from other people's blogs, I created these watercolor creations.  I am thinking of using a sealant on them and adding a pin back.  I think they will make fun pins.

Vacation

I visited my niece in Monterey, California.  We went to the Aquarium & Fisherman's Wharf; walked the beach; visited the tidal pools along 17 mile drive; shopped in Carmel; viewed the Ansel Adam's exhibit at the Monterey Museum of Art.  We had good food and a good time.  My camera went with me, unfortunately its battery was at home in the charger.  I wanted to make sure that the battery was fully charged so I could take lots of pictures.

I did have my paint set.  I painted on another painting while on vacation, I left it in my motel room.  The manager cleaned up my room while I was gone.  He threw it away as he thought it was trash since I had torn the paper down to fit in my luggage.

Woven Jewelry

I decided to add a little for interest to my woven flower charm, I like the dangling lady bug.  Then wove a flower and wire pin.

Rainbow

Even a light evening rain can produce a rainbow!

Mini Books

I created two small books with watercolor and Haiku, both as gifts to friends.

in a pastel twilight sky
the planet, Venus.
