After the morning snowstorm, the sun came out. The landscape is a fresh white. The skies powder blue with fluffy cumulus clouds.
In the late afternoon, the sun painted the mountains in golden tones. The clouds glisten, as Mollie and I took a late afternoon walk.

Snowy Afternoon Walk
Lazy snow flies as Mollie and I take an afternoon walk. The road is no longer muddy, the mud has frozen. Mollie finds a stick, throwing up in the air she then chases it and throw it in the air again. She is very talented at entertaining herself.
Neighbors are heating their house with wood fires. The scent of it fills the air and upon our return this scent clings to Mollie and I.

A Vacation
After mowing the lawn, Mollie and I decided to visit the reservoir. In the summer, many people visit Pineview reservoir, sunning on the beach, swimming, boating, etc. But you should visit it during the Autumn. Clear crisp days, golden Cottonwood leaves, reflected in reflective mirror like water.
Mollie, who rarely likes to get wet, decided to walk along the shore.
Mollie and I took a vacation, an at home, hour long vacation.
Thursday - Time off
I had a day off. In the morning, I took my car to be inspected. Then in the afternoon, Mollie and I went to the cabin. We mowed the lawn and took a walk.
Autumn color, especially reds were in abundance. Along the river, yellows could be enjoyed. I just wanted to share a few shots of the autumn leaves and autumn landscape with you.

Rainbows - Beginning & End
I woke this morning to a much needed autumn rain. The rain clouds defused the morning light creating a yellow-gold glow which highlighted the edges of the mountain cliffs. The rain saturated the autumn colors- orange, red, yellow and green against the black trunks of maple trees. The wet intensified the scent of autumn, the scent of damp earth, and ripening acorns. Mollie and I enjoyed our walk through the rain and were gifted with the beauty of a morning rainbow. It is lovely to have your day begin with the gift of a rainbow.
As the day continued, we experience a variety of weather, including rain, hail, thunder, sunshine, and cloud cover.
Then on our evening walk, just before sunset in the canyon, the sun broke though. Looking up the canyon, Mollie and I viewed an evening rainbow. What loveliness to have a day begin and end with the beauty of a rainbow.

Mollie Puts Up with Me, Why?
Can you just see her saying why would you do this to me? I don't know why she puts up with me, especially as I laughed at this look.

Rainy Days & Mondays
I have decided not to let this rainy, Sunday get me down. I have discovered a few great things about rainy days. They are great days to catch up on laundry, unless you want your sheets lined dried. They are great days to re-read and write letters or other type of correspondence to friends (expect a e-mail or letter soon). They are even enjoyable days to walk your dog. Mollie and I have gone out in the rain. I find it's enjoyable as long as I can wear my bright yellow raincoat and felted wide brim hat (my hat reminds me of one that my grandfather use to wear). And rainy days are great days to enjoy the rain enhanced saturated colors of Spring. Have a great rainy, Sunday!
