Blizzard November 2010
The blizzard that the weather forecaster's warned us about is ranging outside my window. The drive home was slow and careful. Mollie and I walked in the storm watching our footstep fill with snow. Now, Mollie and I are snuggled up, warm under a blanket. Dogs make wonderful companions on a snowy evening.

Change of Color
On CBS Sunday Morning News Magazine they showed the change of color in the Shenandoah Valley. Beautiful changing leaves in yellows and golds. This morning in Ogden Canyon, we had a change in color, too.

A charming felted purse
I sewed flowers leaves and felt balls on to a felted bag. Then added one of my felt charms. This one is a bumble bee. I think it is a fun addition.

Autumn School Memories
Underneath my feet
The crunch and shuffle of leaves
The walk home from school.

Winter Light
A rainbow halo
Rings a silver half-full moon
On a winter night.

Little Fear
Three deer feast on grass
Along a winding road way
Ignoring traffic.

Tiny Boxes
I received my latest copy of the magazine (November/December) "Cloth Paper Scissors" Jane Lafazio's article "Tiny Boxes" captured my imagination (pages 54 to 57). I created two boxes from watercolor paper. Decorated with mixed media watercolor and pen. One box is an inch square, the other two inches square. I finished them with a coating of Mod Podge.

Brightened Colors
A break in the rain just before sunset creates bright autumn color. Many of these photos remind me of impressionistic art, as the digital camera shutter was open longer to capture the unique light. With such a long shutter time it is hard to hold the camera still.
